About Us

 We are a full-service estate sale company serving La Canada Flintridge, Pasadena, Altadena, South Pasadena, San Marino, San Gabriel, Glendale, La Crescenta and surrounding communities.  Established in 2005, we specialize in large estate and moving sales.


As the owner of The Antique House for 25 years,  located in Montrose, La Crescenta, and last in La Canada Flintridge until I closed at the end of 2004, I have many years of experience dealing with design, art, antiques and collectables.  Additionally, I am a certified accredited personal property appraiser. Among many other advantages of this is the avoidance of costly pricing errors. 


I am  also a member of  three professional appraisal associations; Appraisers National Association, American Certified Appraisers Association and Appraisers Online Association.

Can we do a sale that is by invitation only, with no public invited?

Yes! We specialize in private sales. These are sales where attendance

is by invitation only. The public is not invited. They occur when

clients are concerned about the liability or the possibility of theft.

Some private communities do not allow public estate sales, and some

clients live in places where there is little or no parking. We had an

opportunity to hone our skills at sales by invitation only during the

pandemic .We create a list of any items you indicate you don't want sold.

 This list becomes Addendum A and is a part of the contract. We mark those

 items "Not for sale. Family is taking".

Do you have a written agreement to sign?

Yes. Our most commonly used agreement is customized according to

your preferences. Everything we have promised you verbally is

included for easy reference. `

How long is the process from beginning to end?

If necessary, we can do a successful sale in ten days from signing the

contract to the last customer. However, if time is not an issue, 14

days is what we recommend.

Will I need a permit from the city?

Some cities require a “garage sale permit” to have an estate sale.

To name a few that do, San Gabriel, San Marino, South Pasadena,

and Beverly Hills.

Do we charge Sales Tax at our sales?

Yes! As required by law, we charge the prevailing rate of sales tax for

the jurisdiction in which your home is situated unless the buyer has a

valid CA State Dept. of Tax and Fee Resale Permit.

Do we sell vehicles?

Yes! We do very well with autos, (antique, vintage & collectable),

boats, motor homes and aircraft at a discounted commission.

How do we handle Security?

Valuables are never sold at our public sales. They are sold by

appointment only to vetted customers. This includes listed art, fine

jewelry, sets of sterling flatware and hollowware.

Do we allow clients to be present during sales activity?

Absolutely not! We cannot have a successful sale if family members

are present. No clients or family of clients are allowed during sales

activity. When you are present during sale preparation, you will have

100% of our attention.
